Finished in 1966 after many years of conception and construction, this power plant at the mouth of the Rance estuary produces electricity for about 300.000 inhabitants, thanks to the important differences (up to 14 meters) here between ebb and flood.
The plant can be visited. It is under the high-way connecting Saint Malo to Dinard.
